Her deck ‘Radiant Wilds Tarot’ was published internationally in 2022 (Rockpool Publishing/ distributed by Simon and Schuster, Red Wheel Weiser) and is being translated into two languages.

Artist Statement

SHE, THE DESERT. I CALL HER SHE, FOR I AM SHE, BUT SHE IS ALL.

I listen to my internal desert, a vast landscape spanning across the collective unconscious and universe alike, to visualize earth omens and deep layers of being. Artistically adventuring into the infinity of my psyche and the world’s psyche alike, I break the structures that externally limit my inner vastness to visually defy the limits of what we selectively perceive.

I apply an instinctive, ‘automatic’ process of collecting textures, colors and shapes in nature, eventually processing them digitally, creating andillustrating, selecting and arranging. This layered practice reflects unbound possibilities that collapse into a single entity of a piece. It serves as a metaphor for the contained potential and inner multiverse of our beings and the world itself, which need merely be brought to our awareness to be readily accessible.

Like the unconscious, the radiant realms and desert dreamscapes that come to exist know no barriers of what is possible or allowed. A clear mirror of my inner world, the visuals that emerge liberate my conscious experience from the boundaries of rationalism. I attempt to find a place where I can defy gravity and time, and explore our planet and solar system.

The visual outcome is connected to the core of our truly surreal existence, expressing a more satisfying way of existing and a liberation from the boundaries of rationalism. Encouraging the dialogue between ego and what is unknown to it, I aim to express that we are quite capable of embracing our inner multiverse and expansive unconscious. The work navigates our limitless imaginations, while unabashedly tapping into our mystical, ever-changing energy.
